
Steve has over 40 years experience in the investment world, and co-founded Wagner Loftin Investment Services 20 years ago. He is a Financial Advisor, holds series 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations.
He was raised in the Yakima Valley of Washington State. As a youth he developed his love of sports by playing basketball and baseball in high school and college while finding time to work in the local fruit industry to earn his way through college. After obtaining his engineering degree at the University of Washington he accepted a job with Chevron at the Richmond refinery. He advanced through several levels of job responsibilities at Chevron, retiring in 1992 to pursue a career in the investment business. After twenty years he still enjoys the business relationships he shares with many long time friends from Chevron.
He and his wife Sue have been married for 45 years and have lived in Walnut Creek since 1970. They have two sons, Mark, who is also associated with Wagner Loftin Investment Services, and Craig, who is a History professor at Cal State Fullerton. Steve enjoys traveling abroad and in the U.S., annual fishing trips to the Sierras and Alaska, skiing, bird watching, and rooting for the 49ers and Sharks.
